About

The Full Story

Who is Mediocre Dads?

Mediocre Dads isn't a highlight reel. It's a conversation — raw, honest, and Gospel-rooted — for men who are showing up for their families even when they don't have it all figured out.

Founded by Queon "Q" Wilcox, Mediocre Dads started as a simple idea: what if dads actually talked about the hard stuff? The doubt. The failures. The weight of trying to lead a family in a world that's pulling in every direction. What started as a podcast has grown into a movement of men committed to fatherhood, faith, and becoming who God designed them to be.

Who is Q?

Queon "Q" Wilcox is a father, husband, veteran, and the voice behind Mediocre Dads. After years of serving in the United States Military, Q brought the same discipline, grit, and sense of purpose he learned in uniform into his most important mission — being a present, faith-driven father.

Q doesn't claim to be a perfect dad. He claims to be a trying one. That's the whole point.

Through personal experience, Scripture, and real conversations with everyday men, Q explores what it looks like to heal generational wounds, lead a household with biblical conviction, and raise kids who actually know who Jesus is — not just who they've been told He is.

What You'll Find Here

Every episode of Mediocre Dads is built around three things: faith, fatherhood, and truth. You'll find interviews with real men sharing real stories, Bible studies that go beyond Sunday-morning surface level, and cultural commentary that isn't afraid to push back on the noise.

Topics we cover regularly:

  • Biblical manhood and fatherhood

  • Marriage and family leadership

  • Spiritual warfare and Christian apologetics

  • Mental health and emotional resilience for men

  • Generational healing and breaking cycles

  • Faith vs. false doctrine

Who Is This For?

This podcast is for the dad who feels like he's winging it. The husband who wants to lead better but doesn't know where to start. The man who grew up without a father and is determined to break that cycle. The believer who has questions and isn't afraid to ask them.

If that's you — you're in the right place.
